What a wonderful and crisp day for the 39th Annual Plano Christmas Parade this morning. As I wandered back and forth on the parade route capturing these images, I wondered why I had never been before. Hat’s off to the Plano Early Lions Club organizing a multitude of floats, color guards, marching bands, cheerleaders and drill teams from across the district.
As the parade got started promptly at 9:00, the temperature of 40 degrees didn’t seem so bad as all of the children lining the route were waiting in anticipation for the distribution of candy. Some of our favorite’s from the parade were the 1932 Tangley Circus Calliope, Pack 235 with their rendition of Charlie Brown’s Christmas (including the tree), Jim Arnold’s 1981 yellow fire truck, and all of the middle through senior high school students dressed in their favorite holiday outfits. Truly a great way to get in the spirit.
